Privacy notice
Last updated 26 August 2026
This notice explains how MoveOS UK collects and uses personal information when you use our website, create a moving plan, request a managed service or contact us.
1. Who we are
MoveOS UK is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us about privacy through our privacy request form.
2. Information we collect
We collect the account identity supplied by our sign-in provider; your name and contact details; current and new property information; move dates, household and service preferences; tasks, progress, support requests and messages; and essential technical and security records created when you use the service. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information in free-text fields.
3. Why we use it
We use this information to create and maintain your plan, provide requested support, coordinate services, respond to enquiries, keep MoveOS secure, improve reliability, maintain business records and meet legal obligations. Our lawful bases are usually taking steps at your request or performing a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, and compliance with legal obligations. We will ask for consent where it is the appropriate basis.
4. Who we share it with
We use carefully selected technology providers for hosting, authentication, data storage and payment processing. When you ask MoveOS to arrange a service, we share only the details that the relevant provider needs to assess or fulfil it. Payment-card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored in your MoveOS plan. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or where necessary to protect rights, safety and the service. We do not sell personal information or sell enquiries as leads.
5. International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we use an approved transfer mechanism or another safeguard required by UK data-protection law.
6. How long we keep it
We keep active-plan information while it is needed to provide MoveOS. We then delete or anonymise it when it is no longer reasonably required. Contract, payment or service records may be retained for up to six years where needed for legal, tax or dispute purposes. Security records and unanswered contact messages are kept for shorter periods unless an issue requires longer retention.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to our use of your information. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Use the privacy request form; we may need to verify your identity before acting.
8. Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through the ICO complaints service.
9. Cookies and sign-in
MoveOS currently uses only technology needed for access, authentication, security and core service operation. We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this notice and request consent where required.
10. Children
MoveOS is intended for adults managing a property move and is not designed for children under 18.
11. Changes to this notice
We will post material changes here and update the date above. Where appropriate, we will also tell account holders directly.
